Rotary Club International launched Humanity in Motion III, which is responsible for several volunteer efforts that include literacy, hunger, teenagers at risk, scholarship funding, water, building neighborhood centers, the fight against polio, educate about world peace, and more. This effort is to get their public service announcements in print, radio, and on television. In getting the announcements out, the hope is to raise awareness and possibly increase the members.

The efforts on literacy are important to Rotary Club International and their goal is to make sure that everyone knows how to read. Reading is not a privilege, it is a right, and teaching people how to read is one of their major efforts.

Peace efforts across the world is an effort and the club educates people about the importance or world peace and the benefits to the world being a better place. Rotary International holds seminars on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution in an attempt to teach leaders and our future leaders the importance of resolving issues without violence and in win-win situations.

Rotary International is well-known for providing scholarships to kids in need to go to college and become better people.

The fight against polio is one of the Rotary Internationals biggest feats. They are responsible for vaccinating over 2 billion children of the deadly disease. They are responsible for assisting with world water issues, and building neighborhood community centers that help the community deal with vital issues.

A great way to find out more about Rotary International is to attend one of the annual conventions. At the conventions is where they celebrate the accomplishments that were made for the year and they discuss future goals of the club and organization. If you are thinking about becoming a member of Rotary International, then attending the yearly convention would be beneficial. The 2008 convention is being held this year in Los Angeles. Other events include club training events, and the Council on Legislation, where you can learn about selecting representatives for the Council.

Humanity in Motion III is a volunteer effort led by Rotary International as a humanitarian effort around the world to help children, communities, promote peace, eradicate polio worldwide, and educate people about the importance of providing service to people in need.
